Performing Manufacturing Operations

Candidates are required to complete the mandatory assessment, followed by three options from the Supporting the Operation Assessment Routes plus their choice of Job Specific assessment routes.
Mandatory Assessment Routes:
The primary objective of this qualification is to contribute to the development of a skilled workforce as a whole.
Learners will be employed in a manufacturing environment and be responsible for the day to day running of equipment and the quality of the work they produce.
They may also have responsibilities for monitoring and controlling the equipment with some authority to exercise judgement and make decisions about factors which affect the manufacturing process.

- Analysing the results of inspection and confirming quality of production
- Recording and reporting inspection and test results
- Transferring materials
- Producing shaped products
- Producing products by assembly operations
- Producing joined products
- Producing products by processing
- Producing formed products
- Finishing products
- Producing moulded products
- Producing packaged products
- Manufacturing products using combined manufacturing operations
- Carrying out inspection and testing activities
