Business Improvement Techniques (BIT)

So what's BIT all about?

Essentially an NVQ in lean manufacturing, the Business Improvement Techniques (BIT) NVQ aims to improve business performance as a whole by empowering the people that make up the organisation.

It's about:

  • Helping staff to meet appropriate standards
  • Assessing work-based competence - leading to an NVQ at level 2 or level 3
  • Prior qualifications are not required and there are no age restrictions
  • Learners work with an assessor who is interested in how the person performs in their job

If there are any areas where training or support is required to gain the BIT qualification, the assessor is there to help - working alongside the learner to ensure the skills and knowledge to succeed are acquired.

The qualifications can be gained 'on the job' so it is not overwhelming and can be completed at a time and pace to suit the learner.

BIT Support

Yorkshire Productivity is currently able to access government funds to support companies undertaking BIT depending on certain criteria. Please click here for further details.
