What's New ?

Yorkshire Productivity E-Portfolio goes live!

The new Yorkshire Productivity e-portfolio tool is being successfully piloted by a group of learners. Initial feedback has been outstanding and the outlook for blended training provision, primarily in Business Improvement Techniques is rosy.

If you are interested in finding out more about the e-portfolio tool, or e-learning in general, contact our team on ypsupport@virtual-college.co.uk, or call us in the office on 01943 605 976 and we will be happy to demonstrate our learning management systems for you.

Individual Winners at Yorkshire Productivity Awards

2009 was an outstanding year for Individual Awards at our annual Yorkshire Productivity Awards, held this year at the Royal Armouries in Leeds. Who knows, next year it might be you carrying away one of our coveted awards!

Skills for Life

If you want to improve your reading, writing, numeracy or information and communication technology skills, or want to show the skills you already have, a Skills for Life qualification could be for you.

Skills for Life qualifications are designed to help you develop the skills you use in everyday life, such as reading, writing or maths. They can also help you boost your CV or move on to further study.

In some cases, Yorkshire Productivity can offer training courses in Skills for Life. For information, advice or guidance about skills for life courses, access our IAG service here

Worried about redundancy?

The current economic climate has hit the manufacturing sector hard, and feedback from many of our learners shows that the fear of redundancy is ever present.

To access advice, or find links to other organisations that can help with the pain of redundancy, visit the Career’s Advice Service website by following this link, http://careersadvice.direct.gov.uk/. There are also advisors available to talk to if you call 0800 100 900.
